UPSC Education qualification for the UPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION:
For appearing in the exam, a degree of graduation in any stream from any university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) is required. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply, provided they submit the certificate of qualification along with the mark sheet to the UPSC before the main exam.
A candidate applying for IFS exam must possess a bachelors degree in one of the following: animal husbandry and veterinary science, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics and zoology, or a bachelors degree in agriculture, forestry or engineering from a recognized university.
Age relaxation for the UPSC CIVIL SERVICES EXAMINATION:
A candidate must have the age between 21 to 32 years on August 1 of 2016. Prescribed age. For OBC the upper age limit is 35, SC and ST the limit is 37 years. Physically Disabled (Blind, Deaf, Orthopedic) “ 42 years

IAS exam is conducted by the UPSC once in a year.
To become a IAS officer you need to prepare hard,
In this there is no restrictions to which strean you have choose but you should complete your graduation with any stream from any recognized university.
Eligibility criteria: he candidate should be complete graduation from a recognise university in any stream. Age limits is 21years to 30years Candidate should be a citizen of india. Final year students also eligible to apply IAS. Selection procedure: Preliminary test,

Hi,
1. You can take arts stream in 11th. Humanities subjects are very helpful for UPSC preparation.
2. Read 6th to 12th NCERT thoroughly and NIOS 11th and 12th books.
3. Watch BBC Hindi on NDTV at 22:00 hrs.
4. Inculcate reading habit. (The Hindu or Indian Express will help you here.)
5. Start writing essays.
6. Work on written and communication skills.
7. Listen All India Radio news.
8. Eat healthy and take 8 hours of sleep. Health is wealth.
