10th board result evaluation : In all these sequence of events, Maharashtra State Board students were under an impression that something similar will be considered for them too. Intermittently there were suddenly there comes a news of PIL filed in High Court challenging decisions to cancel the Board exams? Court has sternly asked for the further plan of action. It rightly pointed out that if such a decision was to be taken, then why an alternative wasn’t considered. Then comes a formula of 50% class 9th marks + 30% (10th year round assessment) + 20% (Internals/Orals). The formula was a respite for one group of students who are sure schools will give sufficient marks to maintain their as well as school’s esteem. However there is a category of student who believed Board Exams was their first chance to face a state level competitive exam and they will prove their mettle, this category of student weren’t very happy. For their relief there was a consolation of proposed CET (Common Entrance Test) which will give a fair, unbiased ranking to boast their yearlong hard work and true esteem.
